Admissions in Government and Private Colleges of Maharashtra are done on the basis of a student's score in the NEET Exam (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). NEET Exam is conducted in an offline mode. It consists of MCQ type questions and the time duration given to solve these questions is 180 minute.
NEET is a 720 marks paper. Which consists of Physics , Chemistry ,Botany and Zoology subjects. Each subject is divided in 2 parts namely Section A and Section B. Section A consist of 35 questions of 4 marks each. For Section B student has to attempt any 10 questions out of 15 questions of 4 marks each. For every incorrect answer one mark is deducted from the total score.
The Syllabus for NEET is identical to the NCERT syllabus of Std XI & XII (PCB)
The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in Std.XII exam.
